My wife and I both grew up around horses.  Saddlebreds and Quarter horses, and Thorobreds.  We even had ponies.  While all that was fun and exciting, breeding horses, showing horses, racing horses, being in parades, something was missing.  At that time, we didn't know what.  Funny, horse background is what helped us to get to know each other.  We were at that time still interested in horses but really still searching.  It took us many years to find Friesians.
