About Us

The Friesian horses we have are hand chosen to try and provide the best possible representation of Friesians.  Each is chosen for their conformation, breeding, and personality.  Friesians are wonderful to be around and we hope you will join us in celebrating Friesians by letting us help you get started with Friesians or add a Friesian to the horses you already have.

Ansell

Ansell is a good looking colt, born 5/10/08.  He is one high stepping boy.  He gets the gait naturally, as his sire is Wander 352 and dam is Bieske H.  Both parents are very high steppers with great action.  Ansell will be what is referred to as a modern Friesian, the slimmer body and long legs.  He should make someone a terrific dressage horse.  His sire Wander has exceptional mane and tail and has been featured on the cover of the magazine "Horse of Kings", on the cover and inside pictures of the Boiselle calendars and was in the movie "Bedazzled".  His mother was also described as almost stallion like appearance because of her long hair.  Ansell is already showing signs of good feathering.  Ansell is one of the friendliest colts you ever want to meet.  With his good looks and low inbreeding coefficient of 1.17%, he is already to start whatever training direction you want to take him and to get to the top.

Aurelia

Aurelia is our little princess.  She was the star of our ad in "Horse Illustrated".  She has a very pretty head and long legs and has had a presence about her from birth.  Her sire is Wander 352, a high stepping modern stallion, with hair to die for.  He has been on the cover of both the magazine "Horse of Kings" and the Boiselle calendars.  He is that stunning.  Aurelia's dam is Hilda fan Wetsensbosch.  Hilda is a head turner.  She stands just under 16 hands tall, with an expressive head and full long mane and tail.  Hilda's action and suspension are awesome.  We expect that Aurelia will take after her parents, and this is going to be one little lady to watch for.  Aurelia is very sweet, friendly, curious, and easy to handle.  Outstanding pedigree on both sides and an inbreeding coefficient of just 0.39%.  This filly will make a terrific addition to any stable whether it is a breeding program or to take you anywhere you want to go in any discipline.

Chili

Desert's Supreme Commitment - Chili!

Chili is an American Saddlebred, he is the thin man to our Friesians.  He is such a pretty boy, long legs, great arching neck, and seeing him rack around the turnout ring is a thing of beauty.  Chili is 14 years old and has done it all.  His previous owner used to camp out with him and said he was great.  I haven't tried that as they don't let horses in the Holiday Inns and that is the closest to camping my husband will get.  Chili has been shown and I used him as my trail horse.  He will cross the water in the creek, over rocky river bottoms, and would acutally rather go off trail.  He got along with other trail riders in groups.  Chili will do just about anything for a peppermint and will then entertain you with the faces he makes.  His personality alone makes him a winner.  He even let me take my Christmas picture of him with his Santa hat.

Hilda with Aurelia
Hilda fan Wetsensbosch

This is a special mare that just missed making ster by a hair, and was the first in line after the ster mares!  She should definitely be tried again!!

Hilda has an incredibly special pedigree, her great-great-grandmother is the mother of the Approved stallion, Tsjerk!!!  Tsjerk is one of the MOST respected Approved stallions ever, and time and time again he turns out offspring that can flat MOVE!  Tsjerk's mother, which is Hilda's great-great-grandmother, is Model + Preferent + Prestatie.  WOW!!!  And it doesn't stop there.  Hilda's mother is STER, her grandmother is STER, and great grandmother is Model + Preferent, and then great grandmother is, of course, the dam of Tsjerk.

Full paper pedigree!  This is the gold standard for breeding!  Plus she stands just under 16 hands tall.

Not only does Hilda have an exceptional pedigree, she is exceptionally well trained and very easy, even for a novice rider.  Hilda is the kind of horse that you may enjoy riding and driving every day, or if you don't have time, let her sit in her stall for a couple of weeks, and then ride her, and she is the SAME!  Easy, gently, kind, forward, and very cooperative in every situation.  Hilda is as safe as they come and has been used for everything - riding, driving, pleasure, and trails.  Hilda has a low 3.52% inbreeding and stems from stam line 38, 10th generation.  This stam line produced, of course, Tsjerk, as well as Djurre 284 and Ludse 305.  Looking for an impressive, tall mare with the looks of a stallion?  Here's the one you are looking for!  Hilda is a head turner, she has THE presence and attitude you can only find in Tetse offspring.  Stands 1.62 cm tall and looks even taller due to her upright neck.  She is beautiful, with an expressive head with long hair.  Her movements are awesome, with great action and suspension, the typical Tetse front action and Teunis level headed thinking, and drive from behind.  Stam line 38 is known for fertility, great performance and show horses.

This mare is a proven broodmare and has produced two big healthy foals.

Hilda is a superb addition to any breeding program AND she is the kind of mare you will ENJOY riding and driving!

Yzaak

Yzaak is a baroque beauty.  He might only be a yearling (dob 1/2007), but this boy has the bulk.  Yzaak's sire is the Reserve World Champion Driving Friesian, Monte.  His dam is Hilda, a high stepping, 16 hands tall baroque mare with long flowing mane and tail.  Yzaak has the bloodlines on both sides to excel and he will.  This is a colt that can take you places.  Yzaak is very level headed for his age, easy to  handle and likes people.  Take this big boy home with you today and start his training to your specifications, you can't go wrong.
